It’s Here: A Self-Paced, Online Course on Podcasting for Educators!
Course Description
While podcasting is an audio-first medium, the process of creating one is multidisciplinary, and utilizes reading, writing, speaking, listening, maker, and critical thinking skills. Whether you are an educator looking to incorporate podcasting into your project based learning curriculum, a librarian looking to host podcasting workshops for your patrons (young and old), or a teacher or librarian interested in starting your own podcast, our self-paced online course will introduce you to the nuts and bolts of podcasting and provide you with resources and project based ideas for incorporating it both into your classroom (or your own life!). Each module includes videos that feature professional podcasters, slideshows, resources, and project based activity ideas or lesson plans (with downloadable handouts) that are adaptable for use with elementary and middle school students. One-on-one mentor sessions will also be available on-demand for an additional fee.
